Make plans now to attend the Annual Spring Arts & Crafts Show on March 7th-9th in the Varied Industries Building at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines, Iowa. This is Iowa's largest show, with over 300 talented exhibitors from 7 states presenting and selling the Midwest's finest handcrafts. The show is a production of Callahan Promotions, Inc. and offers patrons the chance to enjoy original, affordable arts and crafts. Products being sold include oak furniture, pottery, jewelry, clothing, floral wreaths, stained glass, several different types of food items, lawn and garden art, and much, much more, with over 80,000 square feet of display space. Admission to the show is only $7, with anyone 10 and under free. All patrons will receive a 3-day re-entry hand stamp good for the entire 3 day run of the show. Show hours are Friday night from 5 PM to 9 PM, Saturday from 9 AM to 5 PM, and Sunday from 10 AM to 4 PM. Parking for the show is always free. Janet Powell aka Prune Valley Antiques from Marion, IA always puts together an eclectic, always wonderful combination of antiques and vintage along with Cheryl Saylor from Ottumwa, IA will present the finest in country furniture and Americana and folk art. Lincoln Highway Nitty Gritty

The open-air market will feature over 70 vendor booths. More than 8,000 visitors are expected for the one-day-only outdoor sale. Mount Vernon’s historic First Street will be closed to traffic for the day, creating a Pedestrian Mall with an outdoor food court and vendor booths set up and down three blocks of Mount Vernon’s Uptown Business District. The Lincoln Highway Nitty Gritty focuses on vintage, agricultural, repurposed, industrial, primitive, and retro pieces, as well as traditional collectibles and antiques. The event remains popular with the antique-buying public because of its Uptown location on a hill that allows the festival to go on rain or shine. As the original largest Franklin County Fundraising Market, we will be filled with up to 200 vendors from both locally and multiple states showcasing their unique and original art and quality handmade goods. Dozens of antique and Vintage vendors bring their relics of the past for you to sift through. For the fashionistas, our market is frosted with a handful of adult and children clothing boutiques. The Geneva Market is not a flea market nor craft and vendor show. We are an established, curated, indoor and outdoor market bringing you some of the "BEST OF THE BEST" handmade and vintage vendors from near and far! A dozen food and beverage trailers will join us along with vendors selling the BEST tasty treats! The Geneva Market is Franklin Counties largest original fundraising event hosted by The Geneva Betterment. Annually monies raised are donated back to the community in multiple ways. Fundraising dollars are used to support community projects, donated to other non profit organizations, we help area residents hit by extreme hardship, and also upkeep, repair and maintenance of the loved Geneva Auditorium our event venue.
